We are so happy to meet you!

Meet the Team!

  • We live in trying times, and don’t let anyone tell you otherwise. It’s no wonder many of us struggle to balance our work, family, friends, relationships, and personal time. But you know what? This struggle, this imbalance, it is not your fault. Life in our time is literally harder than it ever was for generations before.

We deal with so many social, political, and economic issues in our daily lives that our personal problems get suffocated. It is only natural that many of us feel underqualified or overwhelmed. But remember, there is nothing wrong with being unable to do it all. The reality is that no one can! We all have our shortcomings, and it’s okay to reach out and ask for help.

That’s why therapy is so important. It provides you with the facility to let out your frustration, anger, pain, and sorrow. This release alone can make a world of difference in improving your mental, emotional, and behavioral health. It can give you the strength to face both the internal and external challenges that surround us and overcome them slowly but surely.

My name is Elaine Stricklin. As a licensed clinical social worker, I want to use my expertise and experience to collaborate with you one-on-one. Together, we can break down those complex, confusing issues and feelings into smaller pieces and tackle each one bit by bit. It may take some time, but one thing I can assure you is we will always work together in a safe, judgment-free zone.

I truly believe that from an early age, we are engrained with the false notion that certain feelings are bad and wrong. We are so severely admonished for having those socially unacceptable feelings that we start to self-censor ourselves. This self-censorship grows and turns into these massive internal barriers that stop us from expressing ourselves. Anytime we try to, we are held back by embarrassment and guilt.

I want to help you break these inner barriers, which is why there aren’t any no-go areas with me. I don’t believe in taboos or unspeakable subjects. I want you to have the freedom to talk about whatever is weighing you down because that is how we will get to the root of your issue.

And we will do this safely and comfortably because I don’t believe navigating inner turmoil has to be a painful process. Yes, we may shed a few tears, but there will be plenty of smiles and positive thinking. Your time with me won’t be a draining experience. Instead, it will energize you - like a breath of fresh air, so you walk out calmer and stronger.

In addition to traditional therapy, I also offer Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR). This powerful therapy method can help process trauma and deeply rooted emotional challenges, allowing you to heal and move forward. Whether you’re dealing with past trauma, anxiety, or negative thought patterns, EMDR can provide a pathway to lasting change.

Always working together, we can sort out problems carefully and objectively, identifying core issues and triggers along the way. As we progress, we will work towards discovering practical solutions and techniques to handle future challenges and struggles.

In addition to therapeutic support, I also offer immigration evaluations and evaluations for emotional support animals (ESAs). These services can be an important part of your journey, whether you’re navigating the complexities of immigration or seeking support to enhance your emotional well-being with the assistance of an ESA.

This may seem like a lot of hard work, but I will be right there with you every step of the way. So if you are ready to take this journey of self-acceptance and healing with me, I am available. At the end of the day, my goal is to help you heal so that you can live a happier, more fulfilling life.

Now serving the state of Arkansas!
